On Monday, November 19, 2012, the Encino Park and Ride lot will re-open. All Commuter Express buses for Routes 423, 549, 573 and 574 will be utilizing the Encino Park and Ride Lot at the scheduled times found on the website and in the updated route brochures that will be coming. The temporary parking accommodations and Commuter Express bus services at the Balboa Sports Complex will be discontinued.

Effective Monday, November 26th, the first AM run for line 423 beginning at the Thousand Oaks Transit Center will begin service at 5:15 a.m. The current start time at that location is 5:21 a.m. Additionally, all of the other AM time points through Topanga & the Ventura Fwy have also been modified. Please see the time points below for exact times. New brochures with the changes will be available shortly.

On Monday, December 24, 2012 and Monday December 31, 2012 Commuter Express routes will operate all morning trips as regularly scheduled.
Routes serving Downtown Los Angeles will offer a mid-day trip from that will start at 1 PM from the first timepoint but will offer limited schedules in the afternoon with the last trips leaving Downtown from the first timepoint as follows:
Route 534 will operate a limited afternoon schedule with trips leaving the first timepoint at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM and 5:13 PM. The 5:13 PM trip will be the last trip.
Route 422 will operate a limited afternoon schedule with trips leaving the first timepoint at 1:53 PM, 2:53 PM, 3:53 PM, 4:53 PM and 5:53 PM. The 5:53 PM trip will be the last trip.
Route 573 will operate a limited afternoon schedule with trips leaving the first timepoint at 2:10 PM, 3:55 PM and 4:55 PM. The 4:55 PM trip will be the last trip.
Route 574 will operate a limited afternoon schedule with trips leaving the first timepoint at 1:00 PM, 3:35 PM and 5:00 PM. The 5:00 PM trip will be the last trip.
Route 549 will operate as regularly scheduled.

Due to the May Day March and Rally on Wednesday, May 1st, 2013, Commuter Express Route 423 will be rerouted and not have access to the stop on:

Effective Monday, September 16, 2013, Commuter Express 422& 423 heading for the valley, will discontinue service at Broadway and Temple stop due to construction.
The temporary pick up stop will be at Temple and Hill St. The stop is located on Temple St. by LA County Hall of Records.
The change does not affect the stops of incoming buses to downtown.

Due to the Funeral for LAPD Officer being held at the Los Angeles Cathedral on Thursday, March 13, 2014, Temple St. between Grand Ave and Alameda St. will be temporarily closed on Thursday March 13, 2014 in the morning. Commuter Express Routes 409, 419& 423 will operate on the 101 Freeway exiting at Broadway and proceed to First St. where they will resume the regular routing. The 409, 419 & 423 buses will stop at each block between Broadway and First St., but Hill St. stops will not be served.
Route 422 buses will operate on the following detour in the morning:
From Hope St., buses will turn right onto First St., left on to Alameda St., and left onto the 101 Freeway. The buses will stop on each block along First St. and Alameda St. to pick up passengers.
Passengers are advised that congestion delays related to this event may affect morning arrival times and to please plan your trip accordingly.

LADOT has been notified that Metro will need to close the stop on Flower and 3rd (stop #8005) for the next few years starting May 5th, 2015. The stop will be relocated this stop to Nearside Hope and 3rd. This will affect Commuter Express routes 409 and 423.
